Code of Practice on Access to Part-Time Working

The Labour Relations Commission published the above document in 2006. Full text can be found on their website. I like, though, in the preamble that it states the following :
‘It is widely recognised that widening access to part-time work, in the context of encouraging and promoting the development of a flexible labour market, has positive economic and social benefits for employers and employees’.
The code itself seeks to encourage best practise and to promote the development of policies and procedures to assist interested parties to improve access to part-time work.
The code clarifies the rights of a part-time employee and give really helpful advice to employers considering introducing part-time work arrangements into the workplace.
