Jim Collins’ book ‘Good to Great’ states that those who build great companies understand that the ultimate throttle on growth for any great company is not markets, or technology, or competition, or products. It is one thing above all others; the ability to get and keep enough of the right people.
For smaller companies, resourcing a role in sales and marketing, finance, operations, etc. in a full time capacity may not be an option. Resourcing with a part-time professional is, in many cases, the best option for developing the business.
