Production Support Engineer
Our Client, in West Dublin, is currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Production Support Engineer. You will be part of a team which works at maintaining efficient production flows in a busy manufacturing environment. In this role you will act as a technical support for operators and team leads.
Key Responsibilities:
To co-ordinate the activities of the Maintenance team during scheduled maintenance, repair, and shutdown activities.
Oversee and coordinate Vendor works while on site acting as point of contact.
Assist with the implementation of best work practices, SOP’s work instructions and develop our internal PPM asset-based maintenance system with a real focus on reliability and reduced time.
Oversee the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, and training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Machinery and reporting of same.
Ensure all maintenance activities, calibrations and improvement projects are identified, coordinated, and executed to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment in meeting target outputs.
Lead and work-on inhouse improvement and upgrade projects for both Manufacturing and Packaging lines and equipment.
Ensure contractor management for the department is adhered to under the safety management system.
Participate in plant OEE meetings, working with production team to continuously reduce downtime.
Ensure maintenance team representation at manufacturing, packing & H&S huddle meetings.
Identify key areas for development & training for on-site equipment to ensure continuous development and knowledge sharing between Engineering and Operators.
Management of Engineering/Maintenance visual management board
Encourage an interactive environment between maintenance and production operatives.
Qualifications/ Skills Required:
Minimum Level 7 qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Electrical/ Mechatronic Engineering
Minimum 3-5 Years previous manufacturing / packaging environment
Previous team lead / project management experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and analytically
Good time management and strong on attention to detail
Experience in participating in HAZOPs and HAZIDs
Robotics and PLC programming experience (essential )
Good Verbal & written English & Knowledge and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Salary:
€50K to €60K DOE
