Our Client, a medical device manufacturer based in South Dublin, is looking for a Process Engineer to join their company. The role holder will report to the Engineering Manager.
To maximise the availability of manufacturing equipment, and ensure all processes and procedures controlled and supported by the Engineering Department are up to date.
Work closely with production personnel to minimise downtime on equipment and respond to all issues in a timely manner.
Review and respond to issues identified by internal & external reject rates, and the Production Team, and aim to improve processes and equipment based on their analysis.
Support R&D in developing production equipment for new products which can be safely utilised by production operators.
Engage with the appropriate personnel in the identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address quality, technical, and manufacturing issues
Participate in risk assessments and HAZOPs of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Work with engineering team to develop and implement strategic engineering Goals & Objectives.
Be responsible and aware for the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that you perform
Primary Degree (Level 7) in Process, Manufacturing, Biomedical or Mechanical engineering.
Hands on mechanical experience would be an advantage.
Experience of lean concepts and tools such as 5S and standard work would also be an advantage
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, root cause analysis and risk assessments with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with proven leadership abilities.
Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
