Maintenance Team Lead

Our Client is currently looking for a Maintenance Team Lead to join their Maintenance Department. The role holder will coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Team, maximising the availability and reliability of all manufacturing equipment throughout the Plant. This is a permanent role and is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Team

Perform scheduled meetings and performance reviews with the team

Promote a timely close out of production related issues

Point of contact for contractors/external engineers

Using a hands-on problem-solving approach to solve technical problems

Act as the point of escalation for all production support related issues.

Work with production team to continuously reduce/eliminate downtime.

Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults

Participate in the commissioning & installation of new equipment

Complete project work as required

Manage the Maintenance Workshop

Develop & update relevant SOP’s/Work Instructions as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing & packing environment is preferable.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ideally Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering.

A diploma with good work experience will also be considered

Experience in leading a team

Knowledge of a manufacturing industry an advantage

Effective decision-making ability

Knowledge and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel etc
