CNC Programmer/ Operator
Our Client is currently looking for an CNC Programmer/Operator to join their growing R&D Department. If you are a hands-on, practically minded, creative person then this is the role for you. Reporting to the R&D Program Manager, you will assist engineers with prototyping, testing, and optimizing products, while working with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set up, and operate CNC machine to produce parts for R&D Department
Support R&D Engineers in the assembly, testing, and modification of medical device prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications.
Work with a broad range of materials, including films, foams, fabrics, coatings, silicones, plastics, metals, composites, and rubbers, ensuring suitability for product applications.
Develop positive relationships with suppliers and ensure material specifications are met.
Conduct material and product tests, and document results in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. EN ISO 13485).
Work to project timelines to ensure relevant stages are completed on time.
Work independently yet collaborate effectively with the R&D Team and other departments to ensure high-quality results, while always seeking ways to improve and innovate.
Experience, Skills Required :
Proven ability in programming and operating a CNC Machine
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
Ideal candidate will have experience working in a workshop (using hand tools: cutting, joining, mill, lathe)
Software Skills : An interest in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks), and Adobe Illustrator. Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel) would be an advantage.
A self-starter who enjoys tackling practical challenges and using your technical skills to bring ideas to life. With a keen eye for detail and a positive, can-do attitude, you’ll take pride in solving problems, assembling, and testing medical devices and products.
Monday to Thursday : 08.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., Friday : 08.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Salary : Up to €43K per annum & benefits
