Bookkeeper
Our Client, based in Co. Longford, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have practice experience.
Responsibilities:
To ensure the accurate and timely completion of payroll and bookkeeping assignments and to assist audit semi-seniors and audit-seniors on assignments.
Processing payroll records for clients on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly and yearly basis
Preparing and reconciling payroll returns as required
Preparing VAT returns and associated bookkeeping as required from books and records provided by clients
Preparing and reconciling RCT and subcontractor control accounts
Reporting of RCT/subcontractors and contracts as required on ROS
Completing off-site bookkeeping for clients (reporting to Partner where appropriate)
Preparing sole trader accounts to review stage
Assisting audit staff on audit and audit-exempt assignments to trial balance stage / review stage
Liaising with clients to ensure books and records are provided by clients on a timely basis.
Dealing with client queries as they arise or referring queries to the appropriate manager.
Covering phone and administration duties as required
Qualification and experience:
Relevant accounts preparation experience
Practice experience is advantageous
Strong excel skills and proficiency in accounts production software
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills.
